Halo Chandelier

Since the electrification of interior lighting in the 1890s candlelight has been put on the back burner—relegated to backup or accent lighting.  Today it’s still sought after for its alluring quality of light, that transforms spaces into relaxing and seductive environments.  The Halo Chandelier reestablishes candlelight in the home, taking inspiration from the powerful presence of royal era design and reinterpreting it within modern day ideals, aesthetics, and simplicity.

SIX CANDLE POWER STRONG

Halo is designed to be used with ultra pure liquid paraffin, but can also be used with scented candle oil, or citronella oil for outdoor use. Lamp oil is poured by funnel directly into the ring itself acting as an enclosed reservoir to fuel six wicks.

Ultra pure liquid paraffin (better known as lamp oil) is available at most local home and hardware stores.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

Right now the world is phasing out 60 watt incandescent lightbulbs. What a great time to get back to the basics and enjoy the beauty of candle light once more. Halo is a 16.5" glazed ceramic ring suspended by an armature of facetted brass. The armature gently tapers upwards leaving empty space at its center designed to illustrate Halo’s complete lack of electrical components.

THE OLD WAY THE NEW WAY

There are some fantastic benefits to using lamp oil versus burning solid wax candles.  Halo is not limited to the length of a candle for fuel but instead sips from a refillable reservoir and can burn up to 3x longer than a standard 9” candle at 15x less cost.  Another advantage is that Halo maintains its elegant aesthetic the entire time it is in use.  No melting, no dripping, no splatter, and no half burnt candles for next time.
